Candlelight Records, this year celebrating nine years of operations in North America, is enjoying its most successful early year sales launch with the recent release and Billboard chart entries with new albums from Ihsahn and Fear Factory. With albums currently holding top album positions on both CMJ and FMQB radio charts, the cover of Decibel Magazine’s March issue, and upcoming touring activities for a number of the label’s wide-range of artists which include appearances at the annual South–By-Southwest Music Conference, Candlelight owners Edward Christie and Steve Beatty are excited about the continued growth of the label’s American division.
The anticipated first video from Fear Factory’s forthcoming album Mechanize premieres today at Roxwel.com. “Fear Campaign” was directed by the team of Ian McFarland and Mike Pecci for Boston-based, Emmy nominated Killswitch Productions. The clip was filmed in Los Angeles with additional photographic elements and all post production completed in Boston.
THE ATLAS MOTH: Tour With Coalesce & Harvey Milk + SXSW Shows Confirmed
Cerebrally pulverizing Chicagoan quintet THE ATLAS MOTH will be blazing a good chunk of the East Coast and Midwest on the road this March with Coalesce and Harvey Milk. The low-end triple-guitar thunder the band are well-known for creating on stage is as massive as it is mesmerizing, as witnessed on their 2009 live with Dark Castle, Wetnurse, Black Cobra, Nachtmystium, Pentagram, Javelina and countless more.
